CCSE has met and exceeded the megawatt goal set by the California Public Utilities Commission for the residential California Solar Initiative (CSI) solar electric program in the SDG&E service territory and will soon exhaust the remaining rebate funds.

This affects some CSI-Thermal program rebates for solar water heating (SWH) systems. In the future, CCSE cannot guarantee that single-family residential electric- and propane-displacing SWH projects will receive CSI incentives. However, most homes use natural gas to heat water and SWH systems displacing natural gas are still eligible for swh rebates.

As of Friday, February 14, 2014, all new applications received for residential photovoltaic system incentives or single-family residential electric- and propane-displacing SWH incentives were placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted projects may still have an opportunity to receive an incentive if previously reserved projects drop out of the CSI PV program.

This program change does not affect any natural-gas displacing systems or multifamily/commercial electric- or propane-displacing systems.

Find out more information about the waitlist process.
