SGIP Program Statistics

SGIP incentivizes the installation of distributed generation capacity for technologies including wind, pressure reduction turbines, internal combustion engines, microturbines, gas turbines, energy storage, fuel cells and solar photovoltaics. Solar photovoltaic systems were eligible for SGIP incentives from 2001 to 2006, before the California Solar Initiative (CSI) program was established in 2007.

This data derives from a public export of SGIP projects in all Program Administrator territories: SDG&E, PG&E, SCE and SoCalGas. Rebate information is displayed by rebate application dates, and not when technologies were installed. For more information on the data contents, click the "Notes" tab.

The filtered data can be reset by using the “Revert All” button at the bottom of the page. You can also export PDF versions of custom-filtered data and share your results via email or social media. If you have any questions about this data visualization tool, email
