About Valley Takes Charge!

The Valley Takes Charge! program was launched as a joint effort of the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District and Center for Sustainable Energy to bring plug-in electric vehicle awareness and training programs to the San Joaquin Valley.

Funded by the California Energy Commission, the project supported local governments by raising awareness of PEVs and their benefits, providing targeted training and toolkits for local governments to become PEV ready and training local electricians to meet increasing demand for EV charging station installations.

While the program is no longer active, resources are available for those interested in providing electric vehicle charging at their property and in their community.
