San Diego Home Energy Score

Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its national laboratories, the Home Energy Score provides homeowners, homebuyers and tenants directly comparable and credible information about a property’s energy use. Like a miles-per-gallon rating for a car, the Home Energy Score is based on a standard assessment of energy-related assets to easily compare energy use across the housing market. If you are an energy auditor, home inspector or another type of residential energy professional, you can become a Home Energy Score Assessor and add it to the services you offer by following a few easy steps!

  2. Complete the San Diego Home Energy Score Program Participation Agreement and submit proof of prerequisites.
