Center for Sustainable Energy

Explore the Future of Energy Storage

Since 2011, ESNA has connected developers, energy users, utilities and policymakers to advance understanding and deployment of energy storage and ultimately build a cleaner, more affordable and more resilient grid. During the California Solar Power Expo, ESNA will be hosting the Solar + Storage Summit.

This one-day, hands-on experience will provide a deep dive for solar installers and members of the integrator community into solar and storage market opportunities in California. Highlights include:

  • Discussion on global energy storage trends
  • Impacts to both in-front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter solar value propositions
  • Business case for innovative commercial/industrial and residential solar + storage projects
  • Hands-on practical advice for incorporating storage into future solar projects from a sales, system design, procurement, and asset management perspective

During the summit, Center for Sustainable Energy Project Manager Andrea Woodall will share best practices from the Self Generation Incentive Program (SGIP). Her session will provide practical tips for accessing storage incentives for residential and C&I applications, as well as an overview of participation statistics to date, and an update on reforms currently underway.
