HERS raters verify energy efficiency measures in new and existing homes as required by California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24, Part 6). An updated version of these standards took effect on July 1, 2014 - meaning stricter energy efficiency requirements and more demand for HERS rater verification services.
